Dr. Rachel Rubin is a board-certified urologist and fellowship-trained sexual medicine specialist.
Dr. Rachel Rubin received her MD from Tufts University and completed her residency in urology at Georgetown University. She chose to specialize in sexual medicine for all genders and completed a sexual medicine fellowship with Dr. Irwin Goldstein at San Diego Sexual Medicine. Dr. Rubin is a North American Menopause Society certified menopause practitioner, and has fellowship designation from the Sexual Medicine Society of North American and The International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH). Dr. Rubin sees patients at her private practice in the Washington, DC region.
Dr. Rubin is committed to providing the best possible care for her patients. The current healthcare system is not designed to give patients the time and attention they need, so she opened her own practice to be able to give patients more time. She views patients wholistically and works to build a team of specialized providers around each patient to support them in all areas of their health.
Dr. Rubin is passionate about furthering the field of sexual medicine through research and education. She currently serves as the education committee chair for ISSWSH and develops training for providers in women’s sexual medicine. She also works to educate the public through media, interviews, events, and her active social media accounts. She conducts research to contribute the advancement of the field and looks forward to the day when she no longer has to say to patients “we just don’t have data for that.”
